| We would like to impose on you for a slight
"editorial" interruption on your way to William Royce's article on the
National Marine Fisheries Service web site. We included a reference to
the article in NJ FishNet #12 because it contained information relevant
to the that edition of FishNet. However, if you read Mr. Royce's article
in its entirety you'll find that some of his comments regarding the return
on public investment in recreational versus commercial fisheries might
be somewhat controversial. As far as we can determine, these are neither
"mainstream" comments nor do they represent the beliefs of the National
Marine Fisheries Service. However, they do indicate an interesting and
- we might suggest - somewhat skewed perspective on fisheries management
in general.
